As Metal Ceramic x-ray tubes have evolved Gulmay has developed its product in 3 phases to culminate in a single drive platform capable of powering up to 1000 W and with options of single or dual filament and unipolar or bipolar tube connection. The current drive platform is based on the 'FC' family using IGBT's at 25 kHz with reduced air inflow to facilitate operation in harsher conditions.

The CP series has continued to evolve over its product life and is available in the range of 100 to 450 kV with both unipolar and bipolar options. CP series generators are available in single or dual focus configurations. The CP series uses 25 kHz for EHT generation and the family of products offers low ripple and low drift.

• All units connect to the x-ray tube with industry standard rubber coned connectors designated R10, R24 or R30.
• All units are capable of operation with external and embedded controllers.
• Oil is used as an insulation medium together with epoxy encapsulated sub assemblies. No vacuum impregnation is required and local servicing is possible.

The MP1 is a 19" rack mounted universal controller. In 2006 Gulmay has completely updated the software and the central processor of this unit.

X-ray tubes from many manufacturers can be selected together with a Gulmay generator type to build an accurate model that limits the operation of the system to a safe level.

The error map has been enhanced to greatly aid system troubleshooting together with a data log that can be extracted with free windows software.

This controller software offers a true record of the system rather than just generator internal details.
