ICM is the only company having polyvalent
generators that can be used indifferently with the control unit SCU286 (main
alimentation) or CCU186 (120 VDC Batteries alimentation for crawlers pipeline
inspections). The competitors have specific control panels for each application, which
obliged the customers to almost duplicate their investment.
Starting from 160kV up to 360kV, the Site-X directional and panoramic X-ray
generators were designed in a very robust, compact and light way in order to meet
the very tough constraints (endurance, temperature, portability and rough handlings)
of site X-ray jobs.
ICM knows that the demand for digital cameras (CMOS and amorphous silicon panels) is continuously increasing for NDT applications. This is the reason why ICM has developed optimized X-ray generators for digital portable applications.
In 2002, ICM launched the CP120, a portable constant potential 120kV battery powered X-ray unit. Based on the design of the CP120, ICM also developed a CP160, which was launched in May 2004.
These 2 X-ray units have been optimized for NDT portable digital applications: compact, light (6.5 – 7kg), battery operated, constant potential, user-friendly (easy menu), and easy to handle (shock absorbing and rotating handle)
